• Boat trailer technician: Specialized in brakes, bearings, lights, wiring, and actuators.
• Xplornet satellite internet installer in remote locations—honing skills in challenging environments.
• Farm-raised machinery repair experience, fostering a lifelong knack for fixing what’s broken.
• 4 years volunteering with Marine Search and Rescue, plus extensive training.
• 10 seasons as a kayak guide around Vancouver Island and Baja, deepening my marine knowledge.
• Hands-on builder of canoes and kayaks, mastering composites and woodwork.
• Carpenter and woodworker with experience building custom cabinets.
• Leveraged AI for marine electrical studies, diagnostics, and research to accelerate learning.

• As a Database Architect, designed and built the Criminal Justice Data Warehouse after multiple failed attempts by major firms—relying on diplomacy, technical prowess, and project management.
• Tackled ambitious projects like off-grid cabins, a custom camper van, a market garden, heritage log house renovations, boat electrical installs, and a woodworking business.
• Strong communicator (honed through Toastmasters) and team player, actively listening to maximize contributions.
• Published Backcountry Biking in the Canadian Rockies (20,000 copies sold), managing vast information flows.
• Proficient in CASE/CAD tools for circuit documentation, and technical support.
